Their primary mission is to restore coral reefs , educate about the importance of our oceans, and use science to advance coral research and coral reef monitoring techniques.

This organization supports natural reef recovery processes through the large-scale cultivation, planting, and monitoring of genetically diverse, reef-building corals. They cultivate corals in Tree's offshore nurseries and then plant them in carefully selected sites. As a result, many of these corals have already grown into thriving colonies capable of self-reproduction.

To address the urgent crisis facing our coral reefs, they have also created a consortium (Coral Restoration Consortium) that includes scientists, managers, coral restoration practitioners, and educators dedicated to the adaptation and survival of coral reefs in the 21st century and beyond.
