The Terre d'Abeilles association, founded in 2002 and declared to be of general interest, works for the sustainable protection of bees and other wild pollinators. It acts at the local, national and European levels to raise awareness and mobilize in favor of these insects essential to biodiversity.

Since the late 1990s, billions of bees have been disappearing each year. Yet, more than 80% of plant species depend on these essential pollinators, which provide more than half of our global food supply.
A whistleblower and a driving force for proposals to French and European government bodies, the association campaigns for an agroecological model that respects living things and denounces the dysfunctions in the assessment of risks linked to pesticides.
In schools, Terre d'Abeilles organizes activities suitable for all levels, from kindergarten to high school, to educate students about the crucial role of bees and the threats they face. The association also offers a beekeeping school open to all, offering training sessions on basic beekeeping practices.
